Each day, 10,000 humans are born in the United States. Each day, 70,000 puppies and kittens are born. As long as these rates continue, there will never be enough homes for all the animals.
To further its stated purpose of reducing the cruelty of pet overpopulation by encouraging pet owners to have pets sterilized, the Humane Society of Sedona and the City of Sedona have each established a spay/neuter subsidy fund to assist qualifying pet owners with surgery costs.
The Humane Society Spay/Neuter Clinic is limited to low-income families. The purpose of the clinic is to provide low cost spaying and neutering of dogs and cats. Criteria for approval of assistance are flexible and based on a variety of factors.
