EVENTS PARTICIPANT

OBJECTIVE	To increase awareness and educate the public regarding HS of S programs and services to the community, and to assist in raising much needed money to fund our programs.
DIRECT SUPERVISOR	Event Coordinator
SPECIFIC DUTIES	Sell raffle tickets, mugs etc. Distribute HS of S literature (Flyers, newsletter, brochures) Answer questions from public Assist with others at special events (registration at dog shows) Recruit volunteers for HS of S
QUALIFICATIONS	Strong Interpersonal skills Dependability; must call if unable to make a scheduled event Working knowledge of HS of S' views on animal welfare issues Ability to work independently with little supervision
TIME REQUIREMENT	Generally 3-4 hours depending on the length of the event Usually weekends or evenings
TRAINING	On-the-job training with staff or volunteers at events

AVAILABLE TIMES	Generally weekends, although weekday hours are available for certain events
