COLLECTION CANS

OBJECTIVE	To provide much needed money to fund HS of S programs by routinely collecting donations from a "sad dog" canister placed in the community.
DIRECT SUPERVISOR	Executive Director
SPECIFIC DUTIES	Obtain permission from a local business to install a HS of S canister Keep track of business addresses and owner names Empty canisters at least once a month or more and deliver money to Director
QUALIFICATIONS	Ability to drive or be driven to collect the money Must be good with people and enjoy talking about the shelter
TIME REQUIREMENTS	A minimum six month commitment to the volunteer program; donations to be collected once a month or as needed, on a continual basis
TRAINING	A review and acceptance of the canister collection guidelines
BENEFITS	Satisfaction from helping to raise money for the animals in your area, enables a volunteer with a busy lifestyle to help HS of S and still have a flexible schedule
AVAILABLE TIMES	Volunteers may set their own schedules provided the canister is emptied on a routine basis
